Alright so my name is Umaz Ali and I started NewsAnchor24 basically because I was fed up.
I used to work in different things before this, and I always had this habit of reading news – like a lot of news. And then I’d talk to people about what I read and they’d be like “Umaz, I don’t believe anything I read online anymore.” That used to bother me. Still does actually.
Then I started noticing something else. Job postings. Man, there’s so much fake stuff out there. People sending me messages like “Is this job real?” “Is this company legitimate?” I’d have to research for them. Got tired of that too.
One day I just thought, why don’t I just do this myself? Make a website where I put news that I’ve actually checked. Not some copy-paste from other websites. Actually read the source, understand it, then write about it. And jobs – I’ll put jobs that I’ve verified are real.
So that’s what happened. Started this thing.
What I Do Everyday
I wake up, I read news. A lot of it. From different sources, different countries. I look at what’s trending, what’s actually important versus what’s just noise for attention. Then I write about it. Takes time because I have to understand it first before I write.
Sometimes I spend 2-3 hours researching one story just to write a 500 word article. People might think that’s slow but I don’t care. If I don’t understand something completely, I’m not writing about it.
For jobs, I literally go through each posting. Check the company, see if they have a website, see if other people have applied there, see if it seems legit. It’s boring work honestly but someone has to do it. Too many people have been scammed.
I also cover different topics – politics, what’s happening in business, tech stuff, sports sometimes, entertainment. But only things I actually find interesting or important. I’m not going to write about celebrity gossip because everyone else is.
Why I Do This
Honestly? It’s not for money. If I wanted money I’d have done something else by now.
I do it because I actually care about this. When someone reads my article about a job and then gets hired because the information was real and helpful – that feels good man. When someone messages me saying “Thanks for explaining this political situation, finally I understand what’s happening” – that’s why I’m doing this.
Also because I got tired of seeing people spread lies and get away with it. Fake news is a real problem. Fake jobs are a real problem. And everyone’s acting like it’s too big to fix. Maybe it is, but at least I can control what goes on my website.
Why You Should Actually Read This
Look, I’m not going to tell you I’m the biggest news site or whatever. I’m not. But here’s what you know when you read something here:
One person actually read it. Actually verified it. Actually cared about whether it’s true or not.
That’s me. Umaz. I put my name on this. If someone tells me I got something wrong, I fix it and I say I was wrong. I don’t hide behind “editorial decisions” or whatever. I just say yeah, I messed up, here’s the correction.
I don’t have a team of 50 people. It’s basically me and I work from home. So you’re not reading some corporate news machine. You’re reading what I wrote because I thought it mattered.
The Reality
Some days I don’t feel like writing. Some days I’m tired. Some days I think nobody even reads this. But then I get an email from someone saying they got a job through our listings, or they understood something better because of an article. And then I think okay, this is worth it.
I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. Sometimes I miss things. Sometimes I could have explained something better. But I try. Every single day I try to make sure what I’m putting out is real and useful.
That’s honestly all I can promise you. That I’m trying. That I care. That I’m not trying to scam you or trick you or make you angry for clicks.
Just… honest work basically.
